Terms of use

Last updated 25 October 2026. These terms are the contract for the website and paid plans. They sit next to the EULA (the software licence) and the privacy policy.

Who we are

Paddock Pulse is run by Lance Dale (sole trader, Australia). Contact: lancejdale@gmail.com.

The service

Paddock Pulse lets you upload soil-moisture graphs and receive suggested Full and Refill points plus a written description of the trace. It is an aid. It does not control pumps, valves, or probe hardware. It does not change settings inside CropX, MAIT, AquaCheck or any other vendor app.

The rule that matters

You must confirm every suggested line on the graph in your own probe software before you change a season setting. If the app and the graph disagree, you follow the graph you can see. We do not promise yield, water saving, or that a rec matches what an agronomist would set.

Accounts and plans

You must use a real email. Paid plans (Pro, Farm, Advisor), extra farms, and AI read packs are priced on the site for your region. South African rand checkouts are charged in rand. Other listed US dollar or euro figures may be display-only; the card may be charged in Australian dollars as stated at checkout. Start checkout from inside the app while logged in, so the payment lands on your account. If you pay from the website, use the same email as your app login.

AI reads: one paddock graph is one read. A multi-paddock PDF spends one read per paddock graph the reader processes. A paddock with no graph image is not charged. Unused monthly reads do not roll unless we say so on the plan page. Packs are one-off.

Bonus reads: a new account gets 2 free reads once its email is confirmed, once per email address ever. The first time an account subscribes to a plan it gets a one-off welcome bonus (Pro 2, Farm 5, Advisor 10 reads) on top of that plan's monthly reads. Moving up to a higher plan for the first time gives that plan's bonus once. Cancelling and subscribing again does not give a bonus again. Bonuses have no cash value.

Plan limits: the Free plan includes 2 paddocks. Advisor includes 5 farms plus any extra farms you buy. Paddocks and farms you already had before a limit started are kept.

Refunds

If a payment fails to unlock the plan within two working days, email us and we will fix the account or refund that charge. Discretionary refunds after you have used AI reads are not guaranteed. Chargebacks may close the account.

Your content

You keep whatever rights you have in the graphs you upload. You grant us a licence to store them, send them to the AI providers named in the privacy policy (in the United States), and show them back to you. Unless you opt out in Settings, we may also use them to improve the graph reader. Do not upload files you are not allowed to share.

Acceptable use

No sharing one login to dodge a plan cap as a substitute for Advisor. No attacking the service. No uploading material that is unlawful. We can suspend an account that breaks this.

Resellers

A dealer (for example in South Africa) may introduce you. Their commission is between us and them. They cannot change these terms or promise features we have not shipped.

Liability

The app is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for crop loss, over- or under-irrigation, or decisions you make from a rec. Our total liability for a paid month is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the three months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law (including Australian Consumer Law guarantees where they apply).

Law

If you buy in Australia, the laws of Victoria, Australia apply. If you buy through a South African rand checkout, South African law may also apply to that sale. Courts in Victoria have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
